Grievance Procedures and Protocols
At the Inter-American institute of Insurance, we have an unwavering commitment to ethical standards and conduct. Below are the expectations and process of a formal complaint.

Formal complaint or grievance is filed
The investor or client files a formal complaint through email or the form below.

The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Initial Review
The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics will contact you about the formal complaint or grievance to gather additional documents and information. This will occur maximum 15 days from original complaint.
03.
The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Request for additional Information
If the Board of Ethics determines that they need more information they will contact, you in order to obtain. The additional information although not required, would greatly help the cause.
04.
The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Advisors Sworn Statement
In the event it deems necessary, The Board of Ethics will contact the advisor for a written sworn statement encompassing the code of ethics and conduct. This will occur a maximum of 40 days from original complaint.
05.
The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Formal Investigation
A maximum of 60 days from the initial complaint the process of the formal investigation will be completed by the Board of Ethics and Conduct.

The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Review by Peer Group
If the Board of Ethics will provide a peer group all the information about the case and ask for a recommendation

The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Final Determination
A maximum of 90 days from the original complaint, The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics will communicate the results of the investigation to all parties and make the results public
08.
The Governance Committee's Board of Ethics - Sanctions and Appeals
The Advisor Board of Ethics will issue a public letter of reprimand, a suspension or a revocation. If the Advisors would like to appeal, they have 30 days from the sanction.
